The Sologne Naturetum® Operations

(1) Naturetum Management

  • To maintain lands by tree thinning, grass cutting, etc
  • To secure water flows such as sources, ponds, lakes, drains, etc..
  • To clean up and improve the alleys network
  • To check each of the 20,000 monitored specimens and update the related computerized information
  • To update and complete the specimens labeling, four seasons photos, and GPS positions

(2) Collection and Sharing of Information

  • To identify and monitor more of the endemic or visiting species
  • To collect seeds of wild plants in and out the Naturetum site (e.g., the Hokkaido / Japan project)
  • To research and computerize the history of our site, from modern times to the primary era
  • To analyze available data on living species from all over the world, and computerized its core elements
  • To exchange information with other researchers domestically and abroad

(3) Arts & Nature & Humans

  • To provide a creative shelter for all the artists to express
  • To associate a music to each identified living thing
  • To study and illustrate the past human uses of each materials available in the Naturetum (plants, fruits, soils, etc.)
